Seals

Seals are marine mammals that are adapted for life in the water and on land. They have a streamlined body shape and flippers for swimming, as well as a layer of blubber to keep them warm in cold water. Seals are found in every ocean on Earth and can be found in a variety of habitats, including polar ice caps, rocky coasts, and coral reefs.

Seals are carnivorous animals that feed on a variety of prey, including fish, crustaceans, and mollusks. They are known for their ability to dive to great depths in search of food, with some species able to hold their breath for over an hour. Seals have a distinct vocalization, often referred to as "barking," which they use for communication and to defend their territory. There are approximately 33 species of seals, including the well-known harbor seal and elephant seal.

I'm Theo Zapata, a snowboarder, surfer, skater and MAD student at Santa Barbara High School. I interact with the ocean everyday so its a big part of my life. I felt the need to share and expand the life within the ocean such as giving important facts and unique information about the common sea animals.
Within this topic of Sea Animals I chose my favorite of them all including octopus, jellyfish and sharks. I felt the need to share these specific animals because I have had many interactions with each and every one of them.
